Tanger Outlets has partnered with northforker to host a series of seasonal events at its outlet center in Riverhead this year beginning this Saturday, March 3.

The four fun-filled and family friendly afternoons are part of the Tanger Weekends campaign and are designed to showcase all the North Fork (and the outlets) has to offer with each changing season.

The northforker team has rounded up some of our favorite friends for the winter event at Tanger II at noon on Saturday, March 3. It will feature smoked barbecue from Grace & Grit, beer from Greenport Harbor Brewing Co., wine from Macari Vineyards, and hot cider and baked goods from Main Road Biscuit Co.

“At the event we’re going to be pouring our 2017 Early Wine, our 2016 Rosé, our 2014 Cabernet Franc and our 2013 Dos Aguas Red,” said Macari winemaker Kelly Koch. “Each wine has a story and it’s fun to share those stories.”

Enjoy the food and drinks as ice carver Rich Daly from Ice Melodies creates magic out of a block of frozen water, providing families and friends with an Instagramworthy photo opportunity.

“I travel the world doing different competitions and winter festivals,” said Daly, who holds the Guiness World Record for fastest ice carver. “We like to have the crowd interact with the sculptures. We make it fun for all the kids and families to take photos home with them.”

The Children’s Museum of the East End is also presenting a children’s book storywalk your family can read piece by piece as you roam the outlets and winter-themed activities for families. Those activities will get underway at 11 a.m.

“We will have different snow science activities,” said museum education director Liz Bard. “Families will have opportunities to build igloos to paint snow and to create their own snow to take home.”

Seasonal events will follow in early June, August and November with even more samplings of the very best of the North Fork.
