A kitchen is one of the most important rooms in any home. It’s where we spend a lot of our time — be it simple moments like opening the mail or more cherished activities like family dinners. In a space where so many memories are made, it’s easy to understand why the kitchen should be a personal oasis.

These three North Fork Dream Kitchens stand out for exemplary designs, modern amenities and straight up wow factor.

Sweeping waterfront views inspired this dream kitchen in Cutchogue. Designer Keith Mazzei, of his eponymous design firm, created this escape for busy Nassau County homeowners looking to revel in beachfront living at their second home on the North Fork. The calming white cabinetry, subway tile backsplash and marble countertops are accented by pops of blue in the expansive butler’s pantry and center island — a color combo reflective of the tide rolling in. No expense was spared when it came to amenities. The kitchen boasts a stainless steal range, dual ovens and other Sub Zero perks, including a wine fridge.

The clever kitchen

This custom-built Greenport kitchen exudes rustic farmhouse vibes, but beyond its chic country accents are ultra-modern luxuries that would put the Jetsons to shame. The barn-inspired design comes to life with driftwood fixtures, reclaimed brick floors in a herringbone pattern and wooden cabinetry befitting of the timber-framed home. What lies beneath is smart wiring. The top-of-the-line features include a custom coffee machine capable of making espressos, other coffee drinks and seltzers — all can be pre-programmed on an iPad. The kitchen also boasts an enormous wine fridge perfect for storing local vintages.

A chef’s oasis

Exposed beams add a rustic warmth to the modern kitchen.

This re-invented barn is now an intimate oasis that would make a home cook’s heart skip a beat. And it could be yours. The six-bedroom, eight-bathroom Cutchogue home is currently listed for $2.15 million by Sheri Winter Clarry of Corcoran. Rustic exposed beams and hardwood floors warm the on-trend all-white kitchen that boasts top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances. Entertainers will be especially delighted that they won’t be cooped up in the kitchen while cooking. The island has plenty of room for barstool seating and overlooks an open floor plan nearest the dining room.
