Harbor Pet in Greenport to host ugly sweater party for dogs

Ugly sweater parties — they’re not just for humans anymore.

Harbor Pet in Greenport will host its second ugly sweater party and contest for dogs and their owners on Saturday, Dec. 16. A $10 donation is needed to enter the contest with all proceeds benefitting the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation.

“Any dog can come and any human can come,” said Harbor Pet owner Kim Loper.

Competitions include ugliest dog sweater, ugliest human sweater, ugliest human and dog sweater duo and most original ugly sweater.

First and South restaurant will provide snacks and drinks.

The Harbor Pet is a full service pet shop offering grooming, boarding, pet supplies and the Life is Gruff line of dog treats. If you need a sweater for your pet for the party, they have those too.

The party runs from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Harbor Pet is located at 120 Main St. in Greenport. Visit harbor-pet.com for more info.
