It’s no secret that the North Fork is at its hottest during the cool fall months.

For city dwellers who want to enjoy the charm of a North Fork autumn day while avoiding pumpkin picking traffic, the Long Island Rail Road is offering a few getaway options this season.

Don’t forget the North Fork Promotion Council is also providing a trolley service to various North Fork stops on Saturdays through November 11. Take the train to Mattituck and tour the trolley stops from Love Lane to Greenport Harbor Brewing Co. in Peconic. Download the Go North Fork app for stop times and locations.
