Touch of Venice and Caci North Fork will again be recognized in the upcoming August issue of Wine Spectator for their respective wine programs.

It’s the second year in a row Caci has made the magazine’s “Restaurant Awards” and the fourth year in a row for Cutchogue’s Touch of Venice. Both restaurants earned the “Award of Excellence,” which recognizes restaurants whose wine lists feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers.

The restaurants are two of over 2,300 eateries to earn the distinction. More than 1,160 restaurants earned the “Best of Award of Excellence” and 89 locations earned the “Grand Award” — including The American Hotel in Sag Harbor, which has received the honor every year since 1981.

“Restaurants continue to raise their game when it comes to wine, and we are particularly proud to present this year’s winners,” Marvin R. Shanken, editor and publisher of Wine Spectator, said in a release. “As wine becomes more important to diners, the Awards program is thriving—with an increasing number of entries, as well as growing print, digital and social audiences. Wine Spectator congratulates each and every award winner.”

The magazine noted that Touch of Venice’s strengths were in their wines from Italy and Long Island, which they classified as being in a moderate price range. For Caci, their strengths were in wines from the same regions, and were considered to have inexpensive options.

All of the recipients, which hail from all 50 states and more than 75 countries, are featured online and in the Restaurant Awards app.
