When the weather warms up, so do our grills — which means you’ll probably need a chilled glass of rosé to offset the heat. We asked food and wine industry pros which Long Island wines they’ll be reaching for this summer. Here’s what they had to say.

This sauvignon blanc is summer’s ideal match, with its tropical notes and crisp finish. It will be the perfect white wine for the beach or gatherings on the deck.

My favorite Long Island summer wine is Martha Clara’s Northern Solstice Rosé! I love this wine because it’s very refreshing. It is the perfect addition to any summer barbecue with friends or family — and also just right for sipping poolside or at the beach.

I really like this wine because it fits perfectly into my summer lifestyle. I also love the way it tastes. I spend a lot of time fishing, harvesting shellfish, spearfishing and eating a lot of sushi during summer. I believe this wine pairs really well with any of the above. It is 100 percent pinot blanc, which is a favorite of mine. It’s priced reasonably for a sparkling wine. I’ve had a lot of wines at a higher price point that do not compare.

Wölffer Estate Rosé is one of the most popular wines of the season and definitely a favorite. It offers the right flavor profile to pair with summer fare, but is also light and refreshing in the warm weather.  In close second is Wölffer Estate Summer in a Bottle White.

This white is chilled perfection for the summer season. It offers notes of citrus and is very crisp and refreshing. This would pair best with a variety of seafood, but a particular favorite of mine is grilled shrimp with a pineapple habanero glaze.
