Stormy weather stopped East Enders from enjoying the first Alive on 25 in Riverhead last Thursday, but that opportunity will not be lost forever. A rain date for that event, which is held four times throughout the summer, has been set for Aug. 31.

The Main Street block party features live music, food and other vendors and the remaining dates are July 27, Aug. 10, Aug. 24 and Aug. 31.

The event was inspired by Patchogue’s popular Alive after Five series and the Riverhead events take place on Thursdays in the week’s opposite of Patchogue.

It’s likely that most of the same performers who were scheduled for July 13 will entertain on the new date, but the lineup has not been confirmed, according to Diane Tucci, executive director of the Riverhead Business Improvement District.

The free event — featuring seven stages of live music, street vendors, food trucks and activities — will run from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
