First Fridays are back!
On the first Friday of each month from May through October, the merchants of Love Lane and Pike Street in Mattituck invite everyone to stroll, taste, sip and shop during the First Fridays block party event. Now in its third year, the first event is set for Friday, May 5.
And this year, all-day deals are extended to other businesses in the hamlet and beyond.
During this monthly event, special discounts will be available at participating businesses. There also will be demonstrations and giveaways scheduled at various locations.
Later in the day, from 6 to 9 p.m., there will be a block party on charming Love Lane. Traffic will be closed on the street and the community is invited to enjoy a night of family-oriented activities. The evening will feature live music, food and beverages, games, face painting, crafts and artisanal products, while the shops stay open late.
“It’s nice to have other Love Lane businesses open later than usual,” said Carolyn Iannone of Love Lane Kitchen, “It adds more appeal to the lane.”
This is a collaborative event hosted by the Mattituck Chamber of Commerce. The event is free to attend. You’ll find a full list of participants, current discounts and more at mattituckfirstfridays.com.
