Looking for something warm and sweet to enjoy over the upcoming cold weekends?
Then head to Fondue Fridays at North Fork Chocolate Company, which will start again on Jan. 20.
This past December, owner Ann Corley and chef Steve Amaral launched the event which runs from 2 to 7 p.m. on Fridays. The event will continue through the end of February.
“We just thought it would be a fun way to have some family fun and community outreach,” Corley said. “People want a warm idea over the winter, and since we’re chocolate what better way than warm chocolate?”
Guests can enjoy either milk or dark Belgian chocolate with three different snack packages.
The first, named after their rooster mascot Scratch Forker, offers five different fruit, pretzel and sweets options for $13.95. The second, called North Forker (which we think is a great name), allows people to dip graham crackers, sweets, and strawberries for $15.95. Lastly is the East Ender, which includes six pretzel, brownie and fruit dipping options for $17.95.
All packages are cheaper for children ages three to 10 years old. The company will offer a special Fondue Friday near Valentine’s Day next month.
“Everybody’s been loving it so far,” Corley said. “We’ve had kids birthday parties from ages six up, someone did a family reunion. It’s really fun.”
