The Lucky Bee, the Manhattan-based eatery which hosted a popular pan-Asian cuisine pop-up restaurant in Greenport this fall, will open a permanent spot in the village this year.

The 100-seat restaurant will be casual yet elegant and feature both indoor and outdoor seating, according to co-owner Rupert Noffs. Expect seasonal, farm-to-table Thai, Vietnamese and Cambodian dishes, he said.

“We love how Greenport is like an American St. Tropez,” Noffs said in an email. “It’s a beautiful port and so close to all the vineyards. We came to New York in 2011 and did the whole Montauk thing in Summer. It’s beautiful there, don’t get me wrong, but there’s something special about Greenport and the North Fork.”

Noffs said the new eatery, located at 314 Main Street, is expected to open on Memorial Day weekend. His partner, Matty Bennett, is the former head chef at Manhattan restaurant The Fat Radish.

The couple hosted a pop-up version of their Broome Street restaurant — where the pink and neon décor was described by the New Yorker as “the spirited progeny of Nicki Minaj and Grace Jones” — at The Gallery Hotel in fall.

The name is also a nod to pollinators. The pair hope to brand their own honey from a local farm, sell it in the restaurant and use it in cocktails.

The wine list will feature local vineyards.

“That’s something that we are passionate about,” Noffs said. “I’d love for any local farmers or winemakers to get in contact and see how we can work together.”
