It’s time to pull out that ugly holiday sweater from the back of your closet and wear it with pride!
Maureen’s Haven will host its 2nd annual ugly Christmas sweater party at Greenport Harbor Brewing Co. in Peconic next Friday, December 9 from 7 to 10 p.m.
Guests will enjoy food, a four beer tasting flight and an ice cream bar. DJ Michael from East End Entertainment will provide the music. There will also be an ugly sweater contest with prizes, as well as a 50/50 raffle and raffle baskets.
Proceeds will benefit the Riverhead-based charity Maureen’s Haven Homeless Outreach Program.

“We are a homeless outreach program that handles everything from finding emergency housing to long term housing,” said program manager John Mackay. “We really are the one place that people in need can go to find a safe place.”
