The Ram’s Head Inn on Shelter Island could be yours for a special night or two this winter.
Closed to the public during the months of January and February, the inn will hand over the keys to all 17 of their guest rooms for a weekend getaway. The rate? $1,700 per night.

“It’s a great deal,” said Susie Halloran of Starlet P.R., the hotel’s press rep. “There’s 17 rooms at the inn, so you’re essentially paying $100 for a room.”
The deal only applies to a Friday or Saturday night booking. There is a two-night booking minimum required for holiday weekends ($3,400). A holiday weekend could entail either a Friday and Saturday night stay or Saturday and Sunday night. Tax and gratuity are not included.
“They will work with each group to meet their needs,” Halloran said.
Food and beverages are not included in the $1,700 price either. But for an additional cost, the inn will open up its restaurant and lounge with a menu customized to your wishes and specifications.
“It’s tailored to each group’s specific requests,” Halloran said. “It could be a buffet lunch, or a sit down dinner, they really leave it open-ended to be tailored to each group.”
