Visit the Long Island Aquarium after-hours this Friday, November 18 for the 9th Annual Fish & Sips.
The aquarium will stay open late to celebrate the North Fork’s fall harvest by offering guests wine from more than 15 East End wineries, with the option to buy bottles just in time for Thanksgiving.
There will also be samples of Long Island spirits, craft beer and spiked seltzer for tastings and bottles for purchase, said Long Island Aquarium spokesperson Darlene Puntillo. The drink tables will be set up in the aquarium and the adjacent Sea Star ballroom.
“It’s a nice opportunity for people to enjoy the aquarium at night and a great meeting place for friends,” Puntillo said. “It really is a lot of fun.”
The evening’s music will be provided by the popular East End band New Life Crisis, who playfully call themselves the “world’s greatest original mashup band.”
“They are awesome,” Puntillo said. “They were here last year and they were really fantastic.”
Tickets are $49.95 + tax per person and can be purchased in advance, as well as at the door. Customers must be at least 21 years of age to attend this event.
