Support The Stirling Historical Society of Greenport at the organization’s annual gala on Stirling Creek this weekend.

The event will occur at Hanff’s Boatyard, located at the corner of Main Street and Sterling Street, from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8.

Now in its third year, the night will include live music, dancing, cocktails, a raw bar and hearty appetizers. There will be a silent auction of collectible wooden buoys decorated by area artists and a 50/50 raffle. Tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased by clicking here or by visiting The Ireland House Museum or Special Effects, both located in Greenport. For more event info, call (631)456-9044.

The historical society is housed inside the historic Ireland House Museum at 319 Main Street, which was built in the early 1830s. Funds from the event support the historical society’s ongoing efforts to establish the Berger House Archive Center as a research resource for the public.

Come and enjoy a lovely sunset on beautiful Stirling Harbor.
