Take your pooch on a walk to help save homeless pets, while you enjoy North Fork wines this Sunday.

The annual “Wines & Canines” walk/run benefit for Kent Animal Shelter comes to Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard on Sunday, September 25. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Along with the walk/run, there will also be auction prizes, a 50-50 raffle, wine and food sales, Kent’s traveling pet boutique, and live afternoon music. Dress your pet up for the pet costume contest as well as the people/pet look-alike contest.

A minimum donation of $30 per person is required, children 12 and under are free. Registration begins at 10 a.m. Because this is not a timed race, walkers and runners can start the course at anytime between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Register for the event in online to save time checking in on Sunday. Those who register in advance will be registered for a chance to win a 32″ LG TV. To register visit crowdrise.com/winecaninesrunwalk2016.

Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard is located at 2114 Sound Avenue in Baiting Hollow.
