That’s the sentiment behind the #nofostateofmind photo contest from northforker.com and WEHM Radio.
To enter, share a photo on Instagram depicting what you love about summer on the North Fork. Caption it with your favorite summer song and the hashtag #nofostateofmind.
It’s that simple.
Beginning Friday, July 22, we’ll hand out weekly prizes for 10 weeks to Instagram followers with our favorite photos. A grand prize winner will be revealed Oct. 3.
“We are very excited to partner with WEHM because we feel our brands compliment each other so well,” said Times Review Media Group marketing director Sonja Reinholt Derr.
The contest will be promoted by both media outlets at Alive on 25 in Riverhead, and in Greenport at pre-Dances in the Park events and the Maritime Festival.
“Northforker’s magazine and website represent the best of the North Fork, and WEHM Radio is thrilled to jointly promote NOFO State of Mind,” said Stephanie Bitis, vice president and general manager of Long Island Radio Broadcasting. “Giving people the opportunity to creatively bring the best sites and sounds of the North Fork alive on social media is fun for everyone, and one lucky winner will receive a memorable getaway weekend there this fall.”
Each weekly prize includes tickets to a local event or attraction, and the winner also becomes eligible for the grand prize of a two-night stay and dinner at American Beech in Greenport along with a VIP tour and tasting at Bedell Cellars in Cutchogue.
On Sept. 23, we’ll post a gallery with the 10 weekly winners on both the northforker and WEHM Facebook pages. The photo with the most shares by 5 p.m. on Sunday Oct. 2 will claim the grand prize.
We’ll announce the winner the following morning.
