Nothing says summer quite like a big, ripe, juicy peach and the North Fork is home to several farms where you can pick your own this month and next. 

The following farms offer pick-your-own peaches. Be sure to call ahead to check for availability and changing hours — some farms even require it:

Davis Peach Farm

561 Hulse Landing Road, Wading River, (631) 929-1115

All peaches are $2 a pound, including their farmstand and pick your own. (No fee)

Open Monday thru Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Lewin Farms

812 Sound Avenue, Wading River, (631) 929-4327

$1.50 a pound for pick your own. There is no fee to pick peaches, but it’s on a day-to-day basis, based on supply. Customers are required to call on the day of to check on availability.

Patty’s Berries and Bunches

408 Sound Avenue, Mattituck, (631) 298-4679

Pick your own peaches will start Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7.

$5 to fill a three-pound bag, which is approximately 12 peaches. (No fee)

Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily.

Wickham’s Fruit Farm

28700 Main Road, Cutchogue, (631) 734-6441

Pick your own peaches begins Friday, July 22.

$30 for a one-peck bag, which is about 13 pounds of peaches. (No fee)

Open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Windy Acres Farm

3810 Route 25, Calverton, (631) 727-4554

$24 for three people for an 8-quart box for pick your own. (No fee)

Open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
