Magic Fountain ice cream

As you’re stopped at the traffic light in front of Magic Fountain on Main Road in Mattituck, you can’t help but notice a sign listing off a variety of unique ice cream flavors.

With all of its ice cream made from scratch, the Mattituck mainstay likes to play on the risky side of the ice cream spectrum.

Depending on the season, Magic Fountain serves a variety of ice cream flavors ranging from caramel apple in the fall to peppermint stick during Christmas time and every odd combination you can think of in between. They are experts at making weird fusions of ingredients taste delicious, making customers want to come back to try their other flavors.

“The owner and employees come into work with ideas for a new ice cream flavor and we just roll with it,” said manager Jennifer Hunter. “We try to use a lot of local ingredients in all of our ice creams like rosemary, figs and strawberries during season.”

Magic Fountain is located at 9825 Main Road in Mattituck. It is open everyday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
