When Shape published a piece this week on healthy dinner suggestions that pair nicely with rosé, the popular fitness magazine turned to none other than Bedell Cellars winemaker Richard Olsen-Harbich for advice.
The winemaker spoke of how well the popular Long Island variety complements food and which dishes in particular work best with rosé.
As the title of the magazine suggests, he stuck to meals that also complement your waistline. Of pairing wine with salad, for example, he said “a wine that’s really aromatic can conflict with the fresh, green elements of a salad,” whereas rosé does not.
Bedell’s Taste Rosé retails for $25 in its Cutchogue tasting room. It’s made with cabernet franc, merlot, malbec and syrah grapes.
