The 2016 Freak Out Let’s Dance (FOLD) Festival that was “temporarily postponed until further notice,” has found a new home.
The outdoor concert originally planned for Martha Clara Vineyards in August will instead place at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens on October 8. FOLD organizers announced the move on social media today.
The three-day concert, featuring performers like Bette Midler, Earth, Wind & Fire, and the Village People had originally been scheduled for August 12-14 in Riverhead. Those three acts are all expected to play at the rescheduled event, according to the announcement.
Organizers have to date declined to say why the festival was moved, but refunds are being issued on tickets purchased for the Riverhead event. Those tickers will not be honored at the Forest Hills venue.
Tickets for the new concert date will go on sale Friday, July 29.
