Duck Walk Vineyards will host the first ever Mighty North Fork Vineyard 5K this Sunday, July 10 in Southold. There will also be a one-mile run for those who don’t want to compete in the 5K.
Both races will take place at the vineyard, as competitors weave their way around Duck Walk’s grapevines.
Each participant will receive a free wine tasting or a glass of wine afterward. There will also be live music, raffle prizes, t-shirts for all competitors and finisher medals for all 5K participants.
Competitors can begin arriving at the vineyard at 6:30 a.m. Packets will be handed out beginning at 7 a.m. Then at 9 a.m. the 5K race will start, followed by the one-mile race at 9:15 a.m.
A complementary wine tasting will also begin at 9:15 a.m. and continue until 11 a.m. An awards ceremony will follow the races.
