Opera is making its way back to the North Fork this summer.

Duck Walk Vineyards North in Southold is hosting “Cristina Fontanelli and Her Fabulous Friends” on Saturday, July 23, at 7 p.m.

Fontanelli Productions took over the annual “Opera in the Hamptons” event about two years ago. The concert stars Soprano Cristina Fontanelli, a highly acclaimed singer, Broadway performer and PBS/WLIW TV host.

The concert will also feature world-renowned artists.

“We’re going to have something for everyone,” Fontanelli said. “The fabulous baritone Ricardo Rivera will return. He has a beautiful voice and is a great performer. We’re also going to have a local child, Katy Heath, perform. I really try to include young talent as much as possible because the arts are so important.”

The concert will take place in Duck Walk’s tasting room built by Dr. Herodotus Damianos — a North Fork wine pioneer and founder of Pindar Vineyards.

Dr. Damianos, who died in 2014, was a patron of the arts and a major supporter of Opera of the Hamptons. He loved opera and for many years hosted the concert at Duck Walk Vineyards.

“We are working on creating a scholarship in the memory of Dr. Damianos,” Fontanelli said. “He was a great lover of the opera and that’s why we’re still holding the event at Duck Walk. His son, Alex, is continuing the tradition.”

Visitors are allowed to bring a picnic lunch or dinner to enjoy on the outdoor patio and grounds.

Pre-sale general admission tickets cost $47. Pre-sale priority are $57. At the door, tickets are $63. For more information and group ticket sales, call 212-217-6181 or email [email protected].
