Celebrate Italian-American culture with unique wine pairings, cooking demonstrations, musical performances and more during Diliberto Winery‘s “Italian Experience” series this summer.

Owner and winemaker Sal Diliberto said he enjoyed planning the Tuscany-themed event for his winery in Jamesport because it reflects his family’s lifestyle.

“We are fiercely proud to be Americans, but Italy is our ancestral home,” Diliberto said. “Events such as these that highlight the food, wine and the Italian-American experience helps keep alive for us the memories of parents, grandparents and extended family who were, and continue to be, such an important part of our lives.”

The “Italian Experience” series takes place Sundays from noon to 2 p.m.:

July 10 — Food and Wine of Campania: Explore the wines of Campania paired with familiar Italian foods.

July 17 — Songs of Italy: Famed accordionist Michael Giordano will play popular Italian songs. Diliberto and some of his staff will join Giordano in an Italian songfest.

July 24 — Grandma’s Kitchen: Remember how good grandma’s kitchen smelled on Sunday mornings as she prepared a meal for the family? Join her as she prepares her fresh sauce and homemade pasta. While the pasta is drying, enjoy Italian songs with grandma and the winery staff.

July 31 — Author Talk with Maria LaPlaca Bohrer: Maria LaPlaca Bohrer will discuss her illustrated book, “Sofia’s Stoop Story,” which details her special Sunday experiences in Brooklyn with her Italian-American family.

Aug. 7 — Grandma’s Kitchen

Aug. 14 — Talk with Professor Mario Mignone: Mario Mignone — author, lecturer and director of the Italian Studies Program at Stony Brook University — will discuss the topic of Italian immigrants.
