Goodale Farms appeared on The Rachael Ray Show Wednesday morning.

A recent visit to Goodale Farms in Aquebogue was aired on The Rachael Ray Show Wednesday morning.

Food correspondent Daym Drops visited the farm last month with a television crew to tape a segment on the farm’s local produce and dairy products. The segment aired Wednesday.

“They approached us to do a farm-to-table breakfast,” explained Christianna Van de Wetering, Goodale’s farm manager. “They wanted Drops to milk a cow, chase a chicken and play with the pigs.”

In the taped segment, which can be viewed here, Drops was instructed by Van de Wetering on how to milk a cow, before meeting the other animals.

Then back in the studio Wednesday morning, Ray and Drops did a live segment with famed chef Emeril Lagasse. Lagasse himself cooked up an enormous egg sandwich for Drops, using all of the ingredients he collected on the farm.

“They used our breakfast sausage, our bacon, our eggs and our goat cheeses,” Van de Wetering said. “That was really fun.”

Reaction to the Rachael Ray episode was quick, according to the farm.

“We’re getting a lot of phone calls and people are emailing us over this,” Van de Wetering said. “We’re very happy with it, we think they did a nice job.”
