North Fork businesses offering discounts for Veterans Day

A number of local eateries want to make their appreciation to our servicemen and women known with freebies and discounts this Veterans Day.

The following North Fork restaurants and other businesses are offering free or discounted items to those who have served our country today, Nov. 11. Remember to call ahead and keep in mind that some restaurants require proof of service.

Lucharito’s

Lucharito’s is offering a free meal to all veterans and active military. You may choose any one menu item or three tacos. Proof of service is required.

Get a half-priced entrée and beverage for lunch or dinner. Proof of service is required.

Pindar will offer complimentary tastings to all veterans and active military duty. Proof of service is required.

Long Island Aquarium

The Long Island Aquarium is offering free admission for veterans and half-priced admission for their families. Proof of service is required.

Digger’s Ales and Eats

Digger’s is offering 25 percent off the bill for veterans.

Applebee’s

Applebee’s is offering a free meal from a select menu. Proof of service is required.

Friendly’s

Friendly’s is offering veterans their choice of a free big-two-do breakfast with coffee or a burger and fries with a drink. Must provide proof of service.
