Target is already stocked with  Christmas decorations, the Greenport skating rink is up and the littlest natives are about get restless.

As the temperature drops — er, at least, while it’s supposed to be dropping — so does the number of family-oriented things to do on the North Fork. That’s why these weekday deals at the Long Island Aquarium and Exhibition Center could prove to be very useful to North Fork parents.

From now until January 31 the aquarium will offer discounted rates on non-holiday weekdays. Adult admission(ages 13 to 61) is $19 and kids (ages 2 to 12) and seniors (61 plus) are $15. As always children under 2 are free.

General admission is typically $27.95 for adults, $21 for children and $23 for seniors.

“We want to thank our loyal guests for their continued support by making weekday visits that much more appealing,” Long Island Aquarium executive director Bryan DeLuca said in a statement. “We understand the majority of our weekday guests are senior citizens and parents with young children looking to get out of the house. We want them to think of coming to see us and enjoy a FINtastic day at the Aquarium.”

Keep this in mind for those days when you simply cannot stand one more viewing of Despicable Me 2.
