Here are five activities to check out this weekend.

1. Oktoberfest in Riverhead

Riverhead will host its first Oktoberfest pub crawl this weekend.

The event will be held Sunday, Oct. 18, from noon to 8 p.m. at participating businesses. Entry bracelets are $10 each and can be purchased online and picked up at the Suffolk Theater box office or purchased at participating vendors. Click here to purchase a bracelet.

Costumes are encouraged.

2. East End Emerging Artisan Fair

On Saturday, Oct. 17, Mattituck Presbyterian Church will host its first-ever East End Emerging Artisan Fair, a festival designed to give local artists and artisans a chance to showcase and sell their work.

There is no cost to attend the fair, which runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mattituck Presbyterian Church is located at 12605 Main Road in Mattituck.

3. Shelter Island 5k to benefit breast cancer charities

Bring your friends, family, co-workers and anyone else you can think of to take part in the 16th annual Shelter Island 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 11 a.m. at Crescent Beach.

Proceeds from the 5K benefit the North Fork Breast Health Coalition and Coalition for Women’s Cancers at Southampton Hospital. Raffle proceeds benefit Lucia’s Angels, a foundation committed to helping women and families on Eastern Long Island with late-stage women’s cancers.

Registration the day of the race is $40. Register at the Sunset Beach Hotel parking lot, located at 35 Shore Road, Shelter Island Heights.

4. A ‘Were Woof Bash’

The North Fork Animal Welfare League will host a “Were Woof Bash” at Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard on Friday evening. The event, during which prizes will be awarded for best costume, runs from 6 to 9:30 p.m. and benefits local animals. There will also be a chinese auction and a 50/50 raffle. Admission is $10 and includes food. Wine and beer will be available for purchase.

Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard is located at 2114 Sound Ave. in Baiting Hollow.

5. Artist’s Showcase at Macari

Macari Vineyards will host an artist’s showcase this Sunday, Oct. 18, inside its Mattituck tasting room. The featured artist is Daniel Dubinsky, who will display his original paintings. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Macari’s Mattituck tasting room is located at 150 Bergen Road.
