Thousands of people visited Greenport Village on Saturday and enjoyed a celebration of area’s nautical history during the East End Seaport Museum & Maritime Foundation’s 26th annual Maritime Festival.

The event began Friday night with a Land and Sea gala and continued Saturday with a parade through downtown, followed by dozens of maritime themed activities. Vendors lined the streets selling souvenirs, clothing and food.

At the annual Blessings of the Waters event on Saturday, 11-year-old Constantinos Triantafillou of Greenport took home a trophy after diving into the harbor to retrieve a wooden cross.

The festival continues Sunday. [Click here for the Greenport Maritime Festival 2015 schedule]
