Here are five North Fork events we think are worth checking out this weekend:

1. Friday night on Love Lane

Love Lane business owners will continue their “First Fridays” series this Friday, Aug. 7, starting at 5 p.m. Stores will stay open until 9 p.m. and merchants will share the love with local farmers, who have paired up to present $3 bites and $5 sips. Stroll, Taste, Sip along Love Lane. Free live music by John Sparling.

Participants include: Village Cheese Shop, Roanoke Vineyards, Love Lane Kitchen, Bauers, Lombardi’s Love Lane Market, Altman’s Needle & Fiber Arts, Love Lane Sweet Shoppe and Mattituck Florist.

Purveyors include Browders Birds, Oysterponds Shellfish, Sang Lee Farm, cHarissa, East End Mushroom, Margene Farms and Backyard Brine Pickle Co.

There is no fee to attend.

2. Beer and spud fests

The Long Island Potato Festival and the North Fork Craft Beer Festival both return to the North Fork this weekend. Both events will take place at the Calverton Links golf course. Tickets to the beer fest are $50 (plus tax) online and general admission runs from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8. VIP tickets have already sold out.

Tickets for the potato festival are $20 each and include admission plus access to free seminars, contests, samples, activities and live music. Children 12 and under are free to attend. There will also be various types of fries, potato chips and potato pancakes for sale.

3. NFCT presents ‘All Shook Up’

The Youth on Stage production of “All Shook Up” continues this weekend at North Fork Community Theatre in Mattituck.

The show will run Thursday, Aug. 6, Friday, Aug. 7, and Saturday, Aug. 8 at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

The musical comedy, set in 1955 is based on Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” and features songs made famous by Elvis Presley. Directed by Brett Chizever and produced by Babette Cornine, tickets are $20 and student rush tickets, $15, if available, can be purchased 10 minutes before each performance. 4. An evening of art in downtown Riverhead

Riverhead’s Main Street will erupt into a kaleidoscope of color, texture and celebration on Friday, when East End Art’s JumpstART program unveils the projects its artists have created.

On Aug. 7 from 5 to 10 p.m., six months of work will culminate in an outdoor arts festival complete with music and interactive exhibits. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

5. Lawn games at Castello di Borghese

Bring a lawn chair to Castello di Borghese Vineyard in Cutchogue and enjoy an evening of volleyball, bocci and lawn games.

The event is weather-permitting. Admission is $8 or $5 for wine club members.
