It is finally spring on the North Fork and we simply cannot wait to get back outside with the family and enjoy the wondrous 60-degree weather forecasted for Saturday.

Fortunately, Catapano Dairy Farm has the perfect event in store for us.

This Saturday, April 11, the award-winning, family-operated goat farm is inviting you to bring your kids to meet their “kids,” a.k.a. their baby goats and lambs. Can’t you just hear the squeals of excitement already?

Meet the baby lambs at Catapano Farms located at 47420 Main Road in Southold. Then head down the road to Catapano Dairy Farm in Peconic to meet their baby goats, which are two to six weeks old (and adorable.)

The Peconic location, which is at 33705 North Road, is also home to adult goats, llamas and horses looking for a little attention too.

“The kids will be able to get up close with the baby goats and lambs,” said manger Debbie Slack.

The kids aren’t the only ones that can have fun. Did we mention the goat cheese?

Catapano Dairy Farm offers hand-crafted artisan cheese plus a variety of goat’s milk beauty products.

Our suggestion? Score yourself some delicious local cheese to nosh on and bring it to a local winery after your visit.
