Local painters, sculptors, photographers and cartoonists takes note.

Here are two open calls for local artists:

First Presbyterian Church of Southold is looking for fine artists to exhibit their work during its 375th anniversary celebration on July 11. Artists working in painting, photography, printmaking, glass, sculpture, pottery, fiber, and mixed media can rent a 10 by 10 foot booth for $100 (or $175 for galleries) during the event.

There will be music, refreshments, and tours of the historic church and cemetery during the celebration. Proceeds will benefit local outreach groups.

The church’s anniversary coincides with the 375th anniversary of the founding of Southold Town.

“We’re putting a fair amount of effort into making it a fitting tribute to the first church and first town,” said Marguerite Schondebare, chairperson of the event.
