Hamptons Restaurant Week returns March 22

Frugal foodies take note — Hamptons Restaurant Week returns to participating restaurants across the East End on March 22.

Despite the annual event’s name, the reach extends to the North Fork where restaurants from Calverton to Greenport will offer deals.

Three-course meals, which include an appetizer, entrée and dessert, will be offered every day from Sunday, March 22 through Sunday, March 29 with the exception of Saturday when the promotion will run until 7 p.m. Some eateries offer additional menu items for a supplemental charge and beverages, tax and gratuity are not included.

Reservations at most eateries are recommended.

The list of restaurants offering the promotion appears to be much smaller in 2015 than it had been in previous years. While 143 restaurants participated in 2006, according to a story published in The Southampton Press, just 22 appeared on the event’s website on Tuesday.

Still, famed upscale eateries like Nick and Toni’s in East Hampton and the North Fork Table & Inn in Southold have signed on and are offering a diner a chance to sample their cuisine at a great discount.

Other deals to note: Jamesport Manor Inn is offering $6 wines by the glass and Cooperage Inn in Calverton is offering several prix-fixe dinners for as low as $21.95.
