Specialty olive oil and balsamic vinegar shop Vines & Branches is leaving its location on Main Street in Greenport.
But don’t worry, it’s not leaving the village.
Owner Rita Winkler, along with all of her products, is moving to a new space at 110 Front Street, which was previously home to Fro-Yopia Frozen Yogurt before it closed in December.
Winkler first opened Vines & Branches’ Main Street location three years ago and said the move was bittersweet, but ultimately an opportunity to grow her business.
“I love that corner of Main Street. It is where my business was born,” she said. “But [the move] is really an opportunity to tighten up the store and be in an area that is more foot traffic friendly.”
Winkler also decided to close the other two Vines & Branches in Westhampton and Southampton to focus more attention on her Greenport shop.
“I look forward to growing the business in Greenport because the locals support small business here,” she said. “I plan on getting more new products to give people what they have been asking for.”
Winkler is slowly transitioning into the new storefront and hopes to be fully up and running there by mid-March.
