North Fork Roasting Co., the much-anticipated Southold coffee roaster and java spot, has announced Valentine’s Day as its opening date.

“We just established an opening date of February 14, assuming no surprises,” owners Jennilee Morris and Jess Dunne said in a Facebook message to northforker. That makes two Main Road artisans opening up shop on V-day. North Fork Chocolate is also expected to open their Aquebogue storefront that day.

However, Morris and Dunne ask that you refrain from canoodling on their cozy couches.

In other North Fork foodie news:

PeraBell Food Bar, which will open at the site of the former Cody’s on Riverhead’s East Main Street, posted a photo of a wood-burning pizza oven that the owners recently ordered from Naples, Italy. And that thing sure looks pretty. The last time we spoke to owners Scotti Campbell and John Peragine, they said they were hoping for a May opening. We will keep you posted.

It’s already time to register for your 2015 community supported agriculture program. Sang Lee Farms in Peconic recently began accepting applications. That’s 25 weeks of fresh organic veggies from Jun 2 through Nov. 18. A full share for pickup at the Peconic farm is $560. Registration for the Garden of Eve CSA is also open. Prices vary by the package, which include weekly and bi-weekly shares. Sign-up is also available at Golden Earthworm in Jamesport. The fee is $571 for 26 weeks for pickup at the Peconic Bay Blvd. farm.

A northforker favorite, ALure Chowder House & Oysteria reopens Feb. 12 with a $20.15 price-fixe. The special will also run on Feb. 19. You can bet that we will be there.

And Tikal.I recently opened on in Greenport. The menu includes traditional Hispanic fare like tostadas, tacos and empanadas as well as breakfast options. We haven’t eaten there yet, we saw the menu and it is reasonably priced ($2.50 for a taco, $6.00 for a quesadilla). The new eatery is located at 110 Front Street.
