The winter edition of the northforker Long Island Wine Press hit newsstands this week.

The latest issue features a look at cabernet franc, a grape some vintners say makes the region’s best wines.

Other features in the winter edition include an interview with the men behind East Coast Wood Barrels, the only Long Island wine barrel makers; a profile by Louisa Hargrave on winemaker Russell Hearn of  Premium Wine Group; a Q&A with Pugliese Vineyard owner Patricia Pugliese; a look at how the children of Ann Marie and Marco Borghese and Christian Wölffer are continuing their parents’ legacies; and a profile on Lenny Campanelli, executive chef at Petulant Wino in Aquebogue.

Also included in the Wine Press is a guide to six local wines industry experts think you should sip this fall and our Wine Country map.

You can also find a schedule of Winterfest acts, though a more up-to-date list can be found on northforker.com.

Pick up a copy today, available at wineries, restaurants, newsstands and other businesses around the region.  Follow northforker this week as we post many of these stories to our site.
