Chilly temps looks like they are here to stay for a while, as the forecast indicates temperatures will remain in the 20s and 30s this weekend on the North Fork.
Why not make the most of it by busting out those ice skates, throwing on some glove and hitting the rink in Greenport?
Northforker recommends getting out of the house for some ice-skating at Mitchell Park this weekend. The rink boasts waterfront views and is within walking distance to the village’s shops, restaurants and cafes. And those are great spots to warm up with hot chocolate after hanging up your skates.
On weekends and holidays adults pay $10, while children under 18 and seniors pay $7. You can rent a pair of skates for $5, but all customers must leave a deposit in the form of a driver’s license, student ID, credit card or cash. The village accepts Mastercard and Visa credit cards.

Friday: 3 to 5 p.m.
Saturday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
