The event, which takes place Saturday, Dec. 13, and Dec. 14 from noon to 5 p.m. inside the wine barn at Harbes Family Farm & Vineyard in Mattituck, will feature goods from close to 10 North Fork artisans. Wine tastings will also be available.

“These are just a bunch of local people I know who have unique pieces,” said organizer Kara Hoblin of Greenport. An artist, Hoblin will sell prints, hand-painted signs and customized chalkboard drawings at the fair. “And I think people appreciate handmade gifts.”

In addition to Hoblin, vendors at the Harbes Holiday Fair will include:

• Jen Lew (custom candles and match boxes)
• The Times Vintage (selection of vintage clothes and small gifts)
• Ginger Goods (baked goods and snacks)
• North Fork Roasting Co. (fresh roasted coffee)
• Gina Crawford Designs (custom scarves and handmade bags)
• K.N.J. Handmade (knit hats, scarves and ear warmers)
• Cindy Pease Roe Artist (art prints and small paintings)
• Patty’s Berries & Bunches (handmade wreaths)
• Where Watermelons Grow (handmade beach-inspired jewelry)

“I hope people come and enjoy the artwork and buy local stuff,” Hoblin said. “That’s what I’m really encouraging.”

Other places to get local, handmade gifts this weekend include the following: The emporium at the North Fork Designer Show House, The Beach Plum Shop in Orient; Miss Ella’s Gift Shop at Hallockville Museum Farm in Northville; and East End Arts Holiday Gift Boutique in Riverhead.
