Love Lane

There are a lot of places to eat on Love Lane and on Friday night you can try a sampling some of our favorites plus a tasting of Wölffer Estate Vineyard‘s vino during Roanoke Vineyards’ Stroll Down Love Lane.

The event will feature one food course paired with a selection from Wolffer Estates signature wines at four Love Lane establishments.

“You can have a four-course meal in four different places in one night,” Roanoke Vineyards Love Lane Tasting Room manger Robin Epperson-McCarthy.

After meeting at the Love Lane tasting room, strollers will head to the Village Cheese Shop for some Moses Sleeper, Le Chevrot and pepper cacciota cheese to be served alongside a taste of Wölffer Estate 2013 Sauvignon Blanc.

Then you will head back to the tasting room where chef Chris Gerdes will prepare a wild mushroom risotto with truffle oil and shaved Parmesan to be paired with Wölffer Estate 2012 Perle Chardonnay.

Next you will travel down the road to the Iron Skillet Restaurant for your main course, a pan seared salmon that will be coupled with Wölffer Estate 2011 Cabernet Frac.

You will end at The Love Lane Kitchen, where dessert will be waiting. The restaurant is serving Rita’s homemade cheesecake smothered in a mixed berry compote along side Wölffer Estate 2012 Diosa Late Harvest Wine.

The stroll will take place on Friday, Oct. 17, starting at 6 p.m. in the Roanoke Vineyards Love Lane Tasting Room located at 165 Love Lane in Mattituck. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 631-298-7677. The event costs $100 per person.
