Help kick cancer’s butt — and help sculpt your own — at NOFO Wellness Center this month.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, every dollar collected from non-members taking classes at the Cutchogue gym between Sunday, Oct. 26 and Friday, Oct. 31 will go to the American Cancer Society.

“A lot of our members are either battling, survived or didn’t survive cancer,” said Andrea Esposito, who owns the Curves franchise that operates out of the wellness center. “We always try to do things for the community. Every year we focus on something for women and we’ve always done something for breast cancer awareness month.”

Class fees for non-members are $15 per class or $10 for teens and college students. Classes include spin, hip hop cardio and Pilates. A schedule of classes can be found here.

Esposito will also offer a discount on membership to women who bring in proof of having recently received a mammogram.

Participating stores at Tanger Outlet Centers in Riverhead also offer a 25 percent discount on a single item with the purchase of a “Tanger Pink Savings Card” from Sept. 15 through Oct. 25. Each card is $1 and can be purchased at Tanger Shopper Services in Tanger I.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual campaign throughout the month of October to raise awareness about the disease. The most common cancer in women, breast cancer claimed 40,000 American lives in 2011, according to the Centers for Disease Control.
