Looking for a safe and family-friendly way to spend Halloween? Then Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition Center is just the ticket — a half-priced ticket.
All day on Halloween — Friday, Oct. 31 — anyone who is dressed in costume will get 50 percent off the regular price of admission.
But the party really gets underway on Saturday, Nov. 1 when the aquarium hosts its Bats, Barnacles & Broomsticks Halloween Party from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The party includes trick-or-treating, face painting, hay rides and a magic show. All the fun is free with your paid admission. Kids 12 and under who wear a costume get in half-price that day, too.
On Sunday, Nov. 2 the aquarium will host an Eat, Drink & Be Scary Halloween Brunch in the Sea Star Ballroom from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reservations are suggested, but walk-ins are welcome. Call 631-208-9200 ext. 426 for more information on both events or to make reservations for the brunch.
Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition Center is located at 431 Main Street in Riverhead.
