When a fish market is located in what is historically a fishing community, you know they can’t get away with being sub-par.

And judging by the quality of their food, Braun Seafood Co. in Cutchogue understands this rule.

In this week’s edition of “What’s for Lunch?” we recommend their fresh grilled tuna harvest wrap. Lettuce, walnuts, green apples and lemon mayonnaise are served in a wrap with pickle, cole slaw and potato salad ($13.95).

The tuna is fresh and the tasty sides make this a filling dish.

Braun, also a full service fish market, offers a large menu of fresh seafood dishes for either dine-in or take out. What the eatery lacks in its simple decor, it makes up in quality and reasonable prices.

It’s also a great stop for a picnic lunch to take to a nearby winery. And we will certainly be back for bay scallop season.

Brauns Seafood Co. is located 30840 Main Road in Cutchogue.

What’s for a lunch is a weekly northforker.com column highlighting delicious mid-day meals on the North Fork. Suggestions can be sent to [email protected].
