Greenport Village is in for a very special evening: Five-hundred lucky guests will sneak down Bootleg Alley to arrive at “A Land and Sea Greenport Gala.”

Situated on the waterfront near Claudio’s under a tent decorated with twinkling lights, seasonal blooms and vignettes emblematic of Greenport, the gala is an homage to the historic village and seafaring community. This fundraising party is the culmination of a good deal of hard work by a special group of generous and enthusiastic North Fork neighbors.

Attendees will celebrate the East End Seaport Museum & Marine Foundation and guest of honor Otto Schoenstein, one of the extraordinary craftsmen responsible for the rebuilding of Long Beach Bar “Bug” Lighthouse. Local purveyors sharing the abundant harvest of our surrounding land and sea will enhance the maritime ambiance with their libations and edible delights.

Join us for a night of unique entertainment, extravagant auction items and locally designed memorabilia commemorating the Maritime Festival’s silver anniversary. The gala kicks off the festival dockside at the foot of Main Street Friday, Sept. 19th, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Advance tickets: $75; $65 for EESM members; $125 at the door. To purchase, go to eastendseaport.org.

Be sure to check out the photo booth, sponsored by northforker.com.
