Fashion models spent the week on location in Cutchogue and Jamesport filming and posing for the high-end clothing company McGregor.

Four models, two men and two women, along with a production crew made Jamesport Bay Suites their temporary home Monday while they shot McGregor’s 2015 catalog at a beach house in Cutchogue and on the bay in Jamesport.

“It was a lovely visit,” model Ashlie Bruenun said before heading out to catch a flight back to Europe early Thursday.

Founded in New York City in 1921 by a Scottish hat maker, McGregor is a European clothing company based in the Netherlands. The company’s youthful mix of casual and formal style is often compared to popular American brands like Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger.

The clothing is so inspired by American culture that McGregor flies its models and production crew to the States for all of its photo shoots, creative director Christian Arkins explained.

This is the company’s first trip to the North Fork. But they will likely return, Arkins said.

“The location embodies a central part of our brand’s lifestyle,” he said. “Our brand is for educated, wealthy people that enjoy a laid-back lifestyle. This is the perfect location.”

While models may have a reputation for being high maintenance, the manager of the newly opened Jamesport Bay Suites on Front Street in South Jamesport said her famous guests were “very cool.”

“They were normal,” hotel manager Susan Halladay said. “They were so nice, not at all pretentious.”

The catalog for the McGregor spring 2015 is due out in January, Mr. Arkins said.
