A new farmers market is coming to the Riverhead area and will feature all local crafters and food artisans.

The market, called “The Artisan Project,” will debut at First Parish Church in Northville on Saturday, Sept. 27, according to organizer Ann Corley of North Fork Chocolate. It will run on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

“It’s for local artisans who use local sources,” she said. “We’re trying to do something good for the community that supports local producers.”

A portion of North Fork Chocolate’s sales will go toward the church, Corley said.

She is hoping the vendor fair attracts North Fork visitors traveling along Sound Avenue this fall as well as locals. North Fork Chocolate will continue to host a booth at the Riverhead Farmers Market on Saturdays.

Vendors interested in renting a 10-foot-by-10-foot booth can contact Corley at 631-599-4944.

The church is located at 5268 Sound Ave. in Northville.
