In this week’s edition of “What’s for Lunch?” we recommend a visit to Grana in Jamesport, one of the North Fork’s first wood-fired pizza restaurants.

Our lunch pick is the meatball pie. Sliced meatballs, marinara sauce and fresh and aged mozzarella are served on a thin pizza crust ($18).

Grana only sells pizza by the pie, so plan on sharing. Two pies may or may not be enough to feed two people (depending on your hunger levels), but two pies for three people is perfect.

The Main Road restaurant also uses organic flour and locally-sourced ingredients, according to its website.

“My pizza is probably the healthiest pizza you’ll ever eat,” the website states.

It also offers pastas and salads for lunch and dinner.

Grana is located at 1556 Main Road in Jamesport.

“What’s for lunch?” is a weekly column highlighting great mid-day meals on the North Fork. Send suggestions to [email protected].
