What would a North Fork summer be without a lobster roll with a waterfront view on the side?

In this week’s edition of “What’s for lunch?” we recommend a lobster roll from Claudio’s Clam Bar and Wharf in Greenport.

Lobster salad and lettuce are served on a hot dog bun with cole slaw, pickles and chips ($19).

Spend a lovely afternoon chowing on lobster and gazing at the multi-million dollar mega yachts parked in the harbor.

While the rest of the world calls the sandwich pictured above a “lobster salad roll,” out here on the East End where it originated, it is simply known as a lobster roll.

Labor Day is less than three short weeks away, so enjoy this summer staple before the days are short and the kiddies are back in school.

Claudio’s Clam Bar and Wharf is located at 111 Main St. in Greenport at the end of the wharf. Parking for Claudio’s, Crabby Jerry’s and Claudio’s Clam Bar and Wharf customers is always free.
