Innkeepers Wilfred and Veda Joseph purchased the 5-bedroom home in 1998 and restored the historic home, adding modern amenities to accommodate guests. All the rooms feature flat screen TVs, cable, I-Pod docks, DVDs and DVD players, a private bathroom, robes, slippers and fresh cut flowers. There is also free Wi-Fi throughout.
You’ll be sleeping like a baby on the inn’s luxury linens. You can even choose your type of pillow — soft, firm, feather; the choice is yours.
“What people put their head on is important,” Wilfred said.
“I think half the people come here for our breakfast,” Wilfred said. “They rave about it.”
Starting at 9:30 a.m., breakfast begins with fresh fruits like local berries and apples depending on the season. You’ll also get tropical fruits — pineapple, mango and plantains— a tribute to their Caribbean heritage.
Next comes hot menu items, homemade breads and other baked goods.
Wilfred and Veda said they are flexible with their menu and are willing to cater to guest preferences. Vegetarian options are also available.
Steps away from the bay Arbor View, is located relatively close to the Cross Sound Ferry, beaches, wineries and downtown Greenport.
They offer several spa services including Swedish massages, couples’ massages, maternity massages, sport massages and aromatherapy baths.
