Late summer means dark, antioxidant-laden berries are ripe for the picking on the North Fork.
Raspberry and strawberry patches might be long picked bare, but blueberries and blackberries have just come up. And there are plenty of farm stands offering the sweet super foods to ensure you find yourself digging tiny seeds out of your teeth for days.
Here are a few places on the North Fork where you can pick your own blueberries and blackberries. Act fast because this end-of-summer treat is usually gone by the end of August.
