Farm tractor in row by Michael McLaughlin.

Serene scenes from oil painter Peter Beston and the bucolic photos of Michael McLaughlin of Riverhead will be on display at the Rosalie Dimon Gallery at the Jamesport Manor Inn in Jamesport this month.

A former film editor, Beston of East Quogue investigates the way lighting, composition and color influences interpretation in his paintings. McLaughlin of Riverhead, a research analyst by trade, channels the rural beauty of the East End through his photographs.

An artist’s reception will be held Aug. 17 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the restaurant and gallery. The event is free.

The Jamesport Manor Inn will also offer a prix fixe dinner the night of the reception at a cost of $29 per person.

The show runs through Oct. 29 during lunch and dinner hours, Wednesday through Sunday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Exhibits at the Rosalie Dimon Gallery are a joint effort between East End Arts and the Jamesport Manor Inn.

The Jamesport Manor Inn is located at 370 Manor Lane in Jamesport.
