For all your locally made sweets, spices, salts, sauces and teas, visit A Taste of the North Fork in Southold.

A Taste of the North Fork produces artisan vinaigrettes, sauces and spice blends out of its commercial kitchen in Cutchogue.

Open since fall 2013, the Southold storefront sells owner Jeri Woodhouse’s signature jarred goods like jams, pickles and olive spreads, as well as products made at the Cutchogue facility for other businesses. The shop’s interior is decorated in a country charm style, featuring the products lined along the shelves of white wooden hutches and atop a 1940s-era Kenmore stove.

Store manager GP Lane recommends the lavender limeade ($18).

Made with lavender from East Marion’s Lavender by the Bay, the concentrated 28 oz. bottle actually makes 56 oz. of limeade when mixed with water, he said.

“I can’t keep it on the shelf,” said Lane, a local musician who sells copies of his book “Waiting on Women” at the store.”It’s a refreshing breath of summer, that’s what it tastes like to me.”

He doesn’t recommended diluting the beverage with water if it is intended to be mixed with vodka.

The products rotate according to the season.

A Taste of the North Fork is located at 53975 Main Road in Southold. It is closed on Tuesdays.
